who has one, good as an all day bike etc?

For those that do have them, would you buy another?

Abigale is on her 2nd, she outgrew the fist one. Great as an allday bike both here and in the Alps

I used to have one. Very light for the travel, reliable and nice neutral suspension.

The angles have changed (much for the better) now and it was a serious contender when I was last buying.

I think it was the press fit BB/lack of ISCG that ruled it out for me - but clutch mechs and dangly chain devices can probably get around that issue?

Love my Reign X

Built up currently for DH but had a few guises over the years.

Maestro suspension is great for pedalling so no issues with the ups

comes alive when pointing down

I have an 08/09 Reign built up with 160 forks etc for Alps and uplifts. It's OK as an all-day bike but it's a compromise. I certainly suffer if I'm riding with others on more XC-friendly bikes.

One of the newer ones with lighter kit would, I'm sure be a good do-it-all bike. The Maestro suspension system is really good.

Is that for 2013? As the 2012s are still steep compared to the competition aren't they?

67.5deg head angle at the moment.

Not as slack as some people would like but much better than my '09 model and they also do the Reign X for shredding the steeze of course.

Looks like a good all-day all-rounder I reckon.

The year of production is everything. I had an 09 one and it was a good bike but there are better bikes (IMO) to be had that have since been made for all day riding and quick raging.

I've got a 2011 and love it,got 2x10 with bash, giant dropper, renthal bars and stem and xt brakes.Does everything reasonably well from short blasts to all day epics.I,ve done Gravity Enduro,Tour de Nevis,7 hour lake and Peak district rides,Doing Snowdon again on saturday.2011 bikes changed to press fit bottom bracket, which is a pain and the cup an cone rear hubs are a bit shite.Shorter stem and wider bars bring out the hooligan in it.I've got an anthem 29er for long xc rides but still have more fun on the Reign.I've got mates with carbon all mountain bikes which cost 3 times a much and don,t feel any lighter or better to ride.No bike will do everything perfectly, but I'm very pleased with my Reign and wouldn't swap it for anythng else.Unless I won the lottery of course 😀

Bought a new Reign 0 in 2007 and can't see what i'd swap it for.

After 3 Oranges, the Reign was like a breath of fresh air. This was a bike i just wanted to ride all the time, everywhere.
Excellent finish and spec, with a rear suspension that can actually outperform the forks, fox 140's.In all the years its had an aircan service and the pivot bearings replaced once.
Wouldn't look at any other make as Giant just seem to get the dimensions right for me.
