I just had to remove mine to go back to the retailer. It was a right bastard to get the hose out and I can imagine massive frustration and difficulty re-fitting it.

Currently thinking I'll get a non-stealth instead as I like being able to get them on and off quick and work on them easier.

Just not obvious where I'll secure the hose at the rear.

Your experiences?

Do I look like the kind of guy who reads instructions?

🙂

But I can still imagine it being a massive ballache getting the hose back through those two cable runs, no?

Whilst I can see that aesthetic benefits from running a stealth post. Removal from the frame must be a massive pain in the arse.

Giant have huge ports for the cables, so routing the hoses internally is a doddle. Bent spoke or cable tie for fishing out the hoses at each end.

Took me 10mins tops to route all the hoses on my Reign.

The aluminium one is really easy, as its external around the BB, literally just push it through.

The carbon one was a massive bastard to do, the BB area with the BB in was a real pain, then the top linkage bolt through the frame was a nightmare.

I swore a lot at that.

Connectamajig softens the blow a little.

I had a hangover. It was challenging, yes.

OK sounds like it might not be as hard as I imagined to re-install, but I still prefer the normal Reverb TBH. Has anyone swapped for one?

I'll probably need to get a new post anyway as it's unlikely to come back warrantied before the PMBA race next month.

Fitting a non stealth dropper to a stealth compatible frame seems a bit odd.

Got a normal reverb on my other MTB, which is also stealth compatible.

Works fine, doesn't feel odd. Easier to bleed and remove when necessary.
