We're off to Les gets on Wednesday and despite working just fine yesterday MrsA's Giant Liv Embolden Plus from 2021 has packed up.
Battery charger is working fine inasmuch as the startup sequence of LEDs is doing what it is supposed to do.
Battery will not charge when plugged directly into charger nor will it charge when in the bike.
Battery charge indicator shows 4 out of 5 charge level LEDs when I press the charge level indicator button.
Bike will not turn on at all.
Everything was fine yesterday.
Motor was refurbed two months ago and has been perfectly fine.
Does anyone have any helpful ideas to sort the bike? We're going to pack her other (not E) bike anyway and have a lot more lift assistance than usual.

We had this issue which ended up not being battery at all but the handlebar controller. Liv Embolden e+.
We bought one but it has a few quirks until dealer could firmware update it.
I think it was Giant Spares we got it from, but not even sure if they're still going.

Bike and charger are now in the shop, Don Skeene's, Cardiff. They are going to take a look and let me know.
There's a Giant store much closer to me but they seemed pretty disinterested tbh. They've got a slot available in three weeks time to take a look at it they told me. AIBU to expect somewhat less tardy service from a bike shop?
I carried on down the M4 and dropped the bike off with Skeene's instead.
If you get stuck I've a battery here you could borrow. I can't see from the pictures, but does the Liv use a security torx to drop the battery out?
The battery is from my Trance eBike, so it may fit/work?

A little yes. It's the height of summer workshop queues are long. They take yours in and someone else in the queue gets bumped. If that was you and you'd been waiting three weeks, would you be impressed?
Would of been nice if they could of helped you out but you shouldn't expect it.

It turns out that Giant don't support Skeene's anymore so off to Bristol we will go; at least we will once back from France. The guys in Giant Bristol could not have been more helpful.
My most local branch had a noticeably poorer attitude in comparison.
Bike was dropped off at Giant Bristol today, prior to being looked at on Friday as my wife was passing on her way to Cornwall.
Shop checked it then and there and confirmed that the battery is not working and needs replacing.
New battery will be north of £700.
Do aftermarket battery repair centres exist? Does anyone know of anywhere that does a good job. There's some stuff on Google but I always like a recommendation.
