As there's a lot of Defy love on this forum thought I'd ask for tips on how to quieten down the internal cables on the advanced models. I've read putting untrimmed cable ties around the outers wrapped around in loops can work, anyone tried this? Also do you access the down tube by prising out the plastic inserts on the headtube or via the hatch under the BB? And how do you remove the BB hatch cover? With the bolt removed mine is still firmly in there and don't want to damage anything trying to force it out. Can't stand a noisy bike and this will drive me mad in short order. Ta!
Bueller. Bueller?
Mine does this. It's the single cable which runs into the downtube on the left hand side. The rubber washer/ grommet type thing works its way loose and it makes the cable rattle inside. Just re-fix the washer and that should sort it
Will have a look, ta.
