I see Giant are investing more in their own suspension line up called Crest , I know it’s not that new but my question is why ? Is it a financial benefit! Must cost a lot of R&D and fox and rockshox etc make great suspension units . I’m sure giant will do a good job anyway.

At the less spendy end of the market it gives them a decent product that they can supply without the extra overheads of buying from a third party with the costs and logistics that that entails. Their forks certainly used to be fine. Plenty good enough for the average ride when the sun shines, if not the sort of things a seasoned rider might want to own.
