So found the bad news today, frame is 3 years old and has now cracked between top tube and seat tube.
I'm the original buyer from new but I bought it in the US, and I live in Sweden.
Spoke to my Giant LBS today and they've never had a Giant warranty so had no a clue what to do; said they'll e-mail Giant in Sweden and ask for advice.
I've also e-mailed the US shop I bought it from for advice on the warrant claim.
Anyone else been through similar? Just wondered if there were any other options whilst I wait?
You could try speaking to Giant directly via on of their facebook pages. I've used that and they were really quick to respond. 5 years on the Anthm isn't it?
Thanks for the reply Andy.
Already had a reply from the US, sent them the info and they'll set the warranty wheels in motion. So far so good.
Groupset purchase on hold then!? 😉
Gutted!
Unfortunately yes, was just about to buy when I found this, as soon as I have an ok from Giant about a free replacement then the group set is back on, if not then I daren't think 😯

A happy update, woke to a reply from the Giant shop and I've got a replacement frame on order so needless to say I'm very happy. Top job Giant 8)
Hurray!
One happy bunny 🙂
Good news, Giant have lifetime warranty on frames I think.
Giant have lifetime warranty on frames I think.
Most quoted lifetime warranty periods are 5 years.
Yeh, Giant warranties really are excellent. I has similar with one of those old fashioned 26inch Anthems (X4).
They didnt have any more in stock, so i got a very nice carbon Advanced X as a replacement. No bad...
I didn't know lifetime = 5 years, sort of makes sense though. It was the main reason I went for a Giant over other brands.
Most quoted lifetime warranty periods are 5 years.
No they're not, some companies (Cannondale notably in the past) argue that it's the lifetime of the product, and by failing it has merely reached the end of that lifetime, but Trek and Specialized (among others) mean life, I've seen 20 year old frames get replaced.
Good to hear you're sorted. I had a crack in the same place on my Anthem last month. Replaced no questioned asked, I believe European warranties are sent to Giant in the Netherlands. Mine took about 2 weeks from being sent to my new frame arriving.
Isnt Giant lifetime in other countries (US?) but only 5 years in UK?
