As above, does a lower cup exist, that enables a tapered fork to be run with a 2009 Giant Anthem?
I've looked on the Cane Creek site, but it gives no options....
I thought tapered headtube started in 2011 on the Anthem?
You cannot fit a tapered fork in a non-tapered frame (unless it's a 1.5" non-tapered frame).
I'm guessing that because the older Anthem has the 44mm head tube (integrated headset) you're thinking maybe a larger external cup could be utilized to take the taper at the bottom and the normal integrated cup at the top?
Unfortunately I don't know the answer to this, but I would be interested to find out
You can fit a tapered fork in to non-tapered headtube > done it on my Scott Spark! What do you , require, however, is an adapter cup, such as the Hope H cup.
And I need to find out if there's an adapter cup that fits a 2009 Anthem.... The Hope H cup that I've used previously, won't fit an Anthem.
And having just looked at the Hope headset guide as well, doesn't look like it's possible to buy/fit an adaptor 1.5" lower cup to the 2009 Anthem, as it is 'Integrated' type...
Nope, don't think you'll be able to do that with your fancy integrated headset, but your Anthem handles great with a normal, straight steerer, and the integrated headset look cool.
Happy days!
Are you selling that HOpe H cup?
