Had a test ride on one and liked it a lot. Anyone got one and tell me if they're any good long term?

Yup, has mine since February and clocked up nearly a thousand off-road miles with everything from bridle ways to 100+km welsh & peak based epics and XC racing.

Simply a fantastic bike, far more capable than a 100mm 'XC' machine should ever be.

I put a dropper on mine for big hills and being all rad and the swap the stock post back in for XC racing etc

It hasn't put a wheel wrong since I've had it and the press fit bb is just fine and dandy too

yes, had a 2012 29X2 for about six months now, probably ridden about 1500K with a few very muddy epics 😉
The only problem ive had with the bike is with the rear shock, its got the monarch RT and the shock seems to jam a little when the floodgate is in the centre position (its like the fox pro-pedal) its works fine in either full on or full off. So i need to send it off really to be serviced but the bike is still perfectly rideabale.

So no other issues at all, mine came with a reba front fork which is brilliant and sooo smooth and sram drivetrain which i was initially wary of being a shimano man but its been fault free and i really like the positive shifting.

If i was to buy another (which i will sometime) id probably go for a fox suspension setup, simply because i do prefer the Fox rear shocks for smoothness as i had on my old Anthem x 26

Brilliant bikes
