The website suggests,a size 16 bike is only suitable for those over 5 feet 7 inches. Is that really the case?I have my doubts but would love to here your thoughts on the matter.Neil.
I am on a medium 2017 Anthem 1, 5ft 10, long back, short legs and it fits perfectly.
Giant size charts are pretty good for the average proportions.
According to the Giant Website Iain, you should be riding a small and anyone under 5,7 should be riding a 14.6 inch x's!I wonder if the dimensions of the advanced range are a bit unusual.
My GF has a 2016 Trance SX, medium. She's 5'6"3/4.
Before buying it she went and sat on both medium and small 2017 bikes.
The 2017 was a tick too long and is a few cm longer than the 2016. Ended up with the 2016 and swapping a 60mm stem for a 35mm.... Works well for her.
Trance SX has a 66° head angle with 160 fork Think the 2017 Trance has 67°. The 2016 Trance fell in between the size of the small and medium 2017.
So, the giant website itself is misleading.Bad
Not misleading really. Size guides are what they say they are, guides. They're not infallible, as bike fit isn't as simple as height = frame size.
Can you post a link to the guide you are looking at ?
UK one here, frame for 18 same as 17 one, and same sizing as my earlier posts...
