anyone know what i mean?
anyone know what it is for?
cheers
for a bolt on brake arm to allow the use of a floating rear brake caliper?
It might be to allow a little pulley thing, for an under-BB routed front mech cable or a top tube-routed cable or something. Maybe.
is it to use a bottom pull front mech with the top pull routing (if you use a guide wheel)??
I don't know what it was meant for but I found it a great for mounting a device I knocked up in work to stop the chain dropping off the granny ring when I ran a 36/22 combo. It was like a e type mech backing plate but used that bolt on the frame to add stiffness.
Doug, did you/have you got a normal deraileur up front?
i.e. nothing like in the link below?
