IV recently sold my tow bar mounted bike rack,, main reason is when I tow caravan aswell I can't take the bikes, but also the model I had involved taking off with a spanner each time I used it (not too bad).

So I was thinking straight away go for roof bars,, my bike is a little hefty and I'm always concerned with the clonking the car (ford kuga)

So do I go for roof bars or something like a saris bones,, I do like the saris bones but I'm just concerned that the bikes will bang together when travelling - do they do this?

I just bought a saris bones and it is secure enough to not hit together as has a third strap for seatube so they don't really move.

However mine covers the reg plate so not ideal...

If you've got a mk1 Kuga with the split rear door, you can't run a boot mounted bike carrier.

I have a couple of fork mount carriers on top of mine - seems to work ok.

Maxxraxx can be used at same time as towing a caravan
