You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
We're Happy Days Cycles in Sowerby Bridge, a community charity that takes donated bikes from the public, gives them some mechanical love and new parts and then sends them back into the big world for a few miles more. The profits from the shop go to our homeless charity that provides accommodation and training for some of the homeless in Calderdale.
As victims of our own success, we have a backlog of donated bikes and the pile only seems to be getting bigger. So we're planning on having an open day where we are going to blitz the backlog. It will be on Sunday 26th September at our shop at 18a town Hall Street, Sowerby Bridge, HX6 2EA from 10am onwards. We're looking for anyone that can help out for a few hours or more, washing, repairing or stripping bikes. If it works with military precision (highly doubtful), the bikes will move from one station to the next, until they are ready for sale.
If you've got some spare time, the skills and the inclination to help us out, we'd love it if you could join us. If you've got tools and work stands please feel free to ask them if they'd like to join us too.
Various refreshment bribes such as cake, coffee and pizza will be available throughout the day along with a mild degree of banter between such like minded Calderfornia sprocket fettlers to help the day go with a bit of cheer.
If you fancy it, drop us as line and we'd love to hear from you.
Ta very muchly.
Jonny
I'll be in touch. May be worth posting on the local mtb Facebook group too (I can copy and paste the above if you'd like?).
Sounds like a plan, ta for the heads up, I'll get a post out.
Bumping this for the Calderfornia riders who might have missed this. @andybrad
