Well, I cant buy magura any more from the german online stores for shipping to Canada, so figuring going via our next UK based visitor.
What do I need to know about taxes/import to a UK address from Germany?

Was great when it was tax exempt shopping and rarely getting hit with the taxes/duties in Canada.

BikeInn might be worth a look. They do Magura and I think they ship from Germany to their UK warehouse and on from there, so everything's up front (hopefully someone can confirm this as I've only bought from them once so far).

Import tax and then vat if over £135. You might be able to get what you want directly in the UK market though. A lot/most retailers will not ship under that level.

Spain iirc but yes they can be a good source. No extra taxes on bikeinn when I've used them.

Ah yes, sorry about that, I have used them & no hidden charges but I think it was AlpineTrek that were German. BikeInn seem to do a lot of Magura.

Or buy from the UK if the prices are acceptable?

Don't forget import tax, then vat and the large shipping bill, plus the charge the courier makes for handling the import tax.

I suggest you also factor in getting a couple of pairs of replacement brake pads as well, as the Canadian prices of Magura pads are insane...

That's why I'm asking what to expect from the German sites to the UK.
My previous Germany to Canadian shipping of magura, conti, and other misc saddles, grips etc have been 25cad postage and mostly dodged the tax/duty/brokerge
