Is it the m4?
where is she when she filmed
A bit of inaccuracy is fine but some of them are spectacular
I have always thought my geography was poor now I feel like a genius
There is an even funnier one with 'mericans being asked to place cities, states and other countries.....
I think it’s Reading from what some of them [s]say[/s] grunt.
Shocking really.
The presenter makes me feel better about the world though...
I think it’s Reading
It is 'the ding' *hangs head*
At least I'm not from here...
Matt - Jay Leno did a load of them and there was a more recent one about independence day.
That must be a piss take, if not then my mates 9 yr old is vastly more intelligent than anyone on that clip
Even the presenter said someone put Cardiff in Cornwall.. and then pointed to the sticker in the middle of Dartmoor!! Grr.
To be fair to the presenter, she is Dutch.. đŸ™‚
That new rubbish BBC weather presentation system is Kiwi, so blame them not the Corp.
They commissioned and published it, from a range of options. They are 100% responsible.

They're just using the Tall Frenchman projection.

This is where being an outdoorsy person pays dividends. If you've travelled around a bit and used maps for planning or route finding it makes it a lot easier. A bit of general knowledge of where the big places relate to others and you can work it out. Sadly the youth of today seem to rely on Google Maps on smartphones and never have to work thing out in their head.
The irony of the BBC doing a skit on poor geography...
Ironically there's no scale on their 'correct' image either. Also if that is just a screen grab of google earth with the presenter overlaid on it, which it looks like, then it's probably not 'correct proportions' either, just not an oblique viewpoint of the country like the BBC use. Representing a 3D sphere surface in 2D accurately is relatively complicated. But the oblique view the bbc use is a bit odd.
But in BBC world the south east IS bigger than the rest of the country!
And you wonder how Brexit happened?
