I have narrowed my "current" search for a new bike to one if the above.

From what I understand the ff29 is more a trail hardtail and the cube is an xc hardtail.

With only 2deg in head angle and a few mm here and there it looks pretty similar on paper.

Will both bikes cope with cannock, degla, peaks? I.e. how fragile is the cube / how much more rugged is the ff?

Cheers

I've got an FF29, all I can say is it's light enough to race, but I don't ride it any different to my Hummer. It gets thrown down all the local singletrack, ragged around the north downs/surrey hills. It will go away with me to Cannock next time I visit too!

I'd go for the FF29 on the basis it would probably give me more smiles than the cube.

I race on my FF29 and thrash the living day lights out of it in Wales on natural stuff & trail centers. Simply the best handling & fastest HT I've ever ridden.

Mine weighs in at 22 to 23lbs all up, which is nice

And they're not all 90's euro pop colour clash either like alot of cubes

Of those two I would go for the FF29.
