Just built mine up, but I have yet to ride it. I'm 5'10" and went for the 19" after mixed comments here. Sitting on it on the turbo, it is a great fit - just like my previous Kona Unit 29er, but with smaller wheels, bouncer front and gears at the back. I shall replace the Alfine with a siglespeed. Gear removal is a five min job. Will ride it this weekend at Swinley with the kids. But it's snowing now! This will be my only mountain bike.
If you are buying it from Realcycles, it arrives pretty much unbuilt with just fork and cranks attached. But the chain was trimmed to the right length, which impressed me, anyway.
Came with 2.2's, I should think it will take a 2.4"
Try one. I had an IO but found mine quite wooden, long gone........
Just sold my io SS,I loved it. Gutted to sell it but a clown bike was needed.
