Hi All

on paper this looks like my kinda bike, and I know that someone has asked about the bike before with limited feedback (the weight really isn’t an issue for me) - has anyone actually had one for a while ? I am hoping it will fit my commuter/winter fun bike category !

Got one, absolutely love it, proper nice ride, I use it for anything from casual cx racing,   hard red grade XC trail riding and occasional road riding.

My build is 1x11 XT/ultegra, 11-36 cassette, cable hydro disks and a strong rather than light build and is about 10.5kg, but bombproof and handles rough pretty damn well.

Only negative is its not massively playful to ride (likely my build though) but this is traded with it being more planted than my previous two cx bikes, whixh were aluminium and about a kg lighter (but more fragile and canti brakes) but arguably more fun for short rides

Done a fair few epic cx rides on it and this is where it comes into its own, I can sit on it all day and get off more refreshed than I used to on my old 26 hardtail or my fat tyred monstercross (both very stiff carbon), yes it's not 29er full sus comfortable, but bloody close!

Thanks for the feedback - I am contemplating a 1 x apex build as I already have apex hydro’s lying around - be a nice compliment to my Fargo I think 😉

Yes, got one very early after release and did a parts swap from a Cotic Escapade - wanted more tyre clearance.

Has quickly become my most used bike - road commutes, canal commutes, filthy weather road rudes, road rides out to investigate bridleways that I've noticed when on the posh bike, local trail rides, Peak District Gravel, Dirty Reiver - it's been used for a wide range of variety. Just set up the spare 700c wheels to use on the hill climb of the Dukes Weekender.

Set up primarily 650b with Panaracer Gravel King's. 1 x 10 36 with 11-36 so top ends a bit limited on road but it good for my local off road stuff. Very comfortable bike obviously within limits - some of my local trails it gets taken on are a bit rooty. But on the gravel type stuff very smooth - really happy with it at the Dirty Reiver which was one of its first long off road rides. Have a 100mm KS dropper hooked up to modified LH sram lever - spring taken out of lever. Dropper just because it does go on some local trails. TRP cable to hydro brakes - it is a fast bike off road so I'd be even more comfortable with full hydraulics.
