sorry if this has been done already but has anyone ridden a fortitude?
I am looking at getting a 29er ss and this one looks great value. the only niggle is the "slacker than most" head angle. I have a proper bike for proper riding and this is to be a new forest mile muncher for all weather conditions. Downhill stability is not high on the list...
any thought would be apprieciated.
cheers

Really enjoying mine, using it for work, nipping into town, etc.
The slacker head angle helps loads in maintaining momentum even on the flat, I find anyway.

Had a SS Fortitude for a couple of weeks.

My first ever SS, first ever 29er and first rigid bike for 15 years. Considering I had all that to deal with, it was a great ride straight out of the box. This is a reflection of the quality of the bike, not my skillz.

My only slight grumble is the brakes - they seem a bit underpowered to me.

If only they did the forks from the Adventure with the non-Alfine Race version...
