Went to IceBike yesterday. Really liking the Genesis range - particularly like this: At a pinch I could get rid of all my bikes and get me one of these. Since I've never been able to get rid of a bike that's probably not going to happen though.

Looks ace. Should be SS and with a black stem IMHO

Timbur, it was SS for 2010 and there will be a 2011 SS version too but in yellow. The Alfine version should be just under a grand so perfect for Bike To Work.

with a black stem
Or - silver 'pin.

You can always pretend it's SS by not changing gear - got all the other advantages ie. no mech and a tidy chain, just a bit of extra weight.

Also has mudguard/rack mounts, two bottle-bosses

Saw these photos. Never noticed the silver stem, that must be a mistake, just for the display. It just looks wrong. I'm quite tempted to ditch my Flyer for this.

Hubs are silver, different colour bars is cool. I'd have plain metal cranks too though.

Doesn't matter that much - mine would be permanently covered in grime anyway.

i know that Mr genesis* is lurking around out there somewhere...

will the Equilibrium be available as a frame+fork?

(*whatshisname James something or other?)

stunning, maybe even more beautiful than the steel-grey 2010 colour scheme...

I'm getting a day one SS in september on the cycle to work scheme. £500. the rest of the grand will be spent on goodies, inc. a pair of sidis for the proper road bike...

And as I'm moving about 8 miles away from work, I will actually be cycling to work on it!

Why? Mini 'V's are more powerful than canti's are they not.

sliver stem matches the hubs as a highlight, no need for it to match the pin or bars really, contrast can be nice too?

yes, but I fancy doing some CX racing and clearance on the Vs is an issue
