What is the difference between the Altitude 00 and the Core 30 other than steel and aluminium frame?
Core has variable travel forks and they have slightly different brakes. Does it come down to whether you like steel or aluminium? What are the true pros and cons of steel vs alu? Only ever ridden alu bikes and don't have much knowledge of the benefits/pitfalls of each.
Any thoughts?
I dont have enought experience to tell you the pro s and cons of each bike but I do have an Altitude 10 and I absolutely love it. I think it has the same fork as the Core 30 Recon 351 that is adjustable from 85mm to 135mm which is handy.
The Altitude 00 only has the Toro fork if I remember correctly. If I was choosing between the 00 and the Core 30 I'd probably go with the better spec on the Core 30.
