Morning all

I've recently fitted a set of these and wondered what pressure people are using. Normally run around 35 but they feel pretty hard with that so thinking if dropping to 30. Any reason not to? 13st for xc/trail use.

Seguaros don't like low pressures, i've learned this. They're more of a dirt road/rough tack type tyre. At 13st, you'll want them around 35-40psi I'd say, or they'll get too squirmy. The sidewalls aren't that stiff, so they'll move around too much if you run them too soft. They won't grip any better at lower pressures.

Run my rear one at 1.8 bar or 26psi for XC racing and a little higher for general riding and marathon racing

Run mine about 25psi on the rear, I'm 11stones.

Run a 2.2 TNT version on rear, nearly 13st fully kitted and 30 psi.

Lol at guy saying you don't get any more grip running them softer, I've tried running them higher and just ping from rock to rock in the local peaks rides.

Completely disagree with comments about running them hard, and also side walls are much stiffer and stronger than Maxxis & Schwalbe

I run rear at around 27psi and front 23psi

Any harder than this and they don't run as fast off road, or grip as well

Maybe you're using a different Segauro to me. Mine (26 clincher) are no good below 35 psi or so. Are there different types? Mine are difinitely a smal tread dirt road type tyre, rather than somethng that can cope with looser and wetter terrain. They are useless in the wet on roots and rocks etc!

14 stone, 28mm rims, 28 psi give or take a couple of psi.

2.2 (non TNT) 29er tyres, 12.5 stone - running them at 25 psi. Running them tubeless at that pressure and have never had any issues. Anything above 30 psi on my hardtail was horrible. Great tyre for chalky surfaces like the South Downs.
