Having taken a couple of years out from biking, my what was state of the art 3x10 now looks to have been revolutionised by the 1x12 product offering. Can anyone tell me if I were using a 32t front and 52t on the rear what would that equal on the rear if it were a 22t front? Hope that makes sense? Cheers

Try this - http://gear-calculator.com/ there's an option to compare two setups.

32/52 is very similar to 22/36.

Make sure you include the wheel size as well

32 on the front 48 at the back is like 22 at the front 33 at the back on the same wheel size. In both car it's front times 1.5 at the back

My old bike had 26 inch wheels and 22 34 as a bottom gear. The new one has 30 at the front and 50 at the back with 29 inch wheels. It feels similar. 30 10 is fine as a top gear for me. I'm very high cadence and feeble. I wouldn't want a 32 on the front.

But as above you need a gear calculator.
