Hi all iv just finished rebuilding a retro road bike which coming from a mtb background I have to say I like riding. I'm just not to fond of the down tube shifting so thinking about moving them iv seen some called retroshift but can't seem to find any in the UK has anyone used these or herd of anything similar as I don't want to just fit new stile integrated levers thanks in advance
Could you use bar end shifters ?
you can get bar end friction shifters.
JoB tried a setup that put friction shifters on the front of the brake levers for road.cc. He wasn't over impressed, iirc
[edit] they were the retroshift ones: http://road.cc/content/review/56215-retroshift-levers
