Gear repair - who can stitch a chamois back in place?

I've got a great pair of Endura bibs with the waterproof spray panel on the back, perfect for CX and gravel rides with no mudguards I thought.

Problem is they have a 'floating' pad and due to some quirk of the fit, or my squint sitbones, the pad floats off to one side and leaves me chafing on one side. Not nice.

My go-to repair place (Scottish Mountain Gear) can't stitch Lycra apparently, and Endura won't do it either, but there must be someone with the right machine to do it, any suggestions?

Alpkit or Galibier might be worth an email

My wife managed to repair a pair of mine on her machine where the stitching had come out around the edge of the chamois, said it was quite a PITA but it's worked out well enough for me. She'll not be offering though 😉

∆∆ Fabric glue is probably worth a try.

I assume it's a floating pad as stitching it place would breach the waterproof? If so, glueing it seems worth a try.

I have some older MTR bibshorts with the Stealth fabric on the seat, but it is stitched through so can only really be considered shower/splashproof.

I've stitched the edge of a chamois back in place by hand before, not the neatest job but easy enough to do. Just take a bit of time.

Almost certainly, but I figured splashproof would be good enough anyway.

I figured fabric glue wouldn't be flexible enough, assuming it sets hard?

Have emailed Alpkit, I hadn't realised they would repair any brand so that's a good shout 👍

Is it a short-within-a-short?
If yes, can you stitch a fold by the hip on the chafing side to pull the pad across more so it doesn't have so much scope to move off target....

And is there a local seamstress who does repairs who could easily do that for you.
