Mornings,
Has anyone got an up to date ( i.e. 10-44/11-42/10-42 etc etc) spread sheet please.

The wait for SRAM Eagle in its entirety will eventually make my "Hightower" last year's bike if I carry on waiting.

Thinking along the lines of Hope/E-13/Shimano etc

Essentially I need to know which front ring (30/32) to have with a 10/44 spread on the cassette (Hope)
In comparison with SRAM 10/42 with a 30 up front which is fine.
I want to replicate that if poss.

Many thanks

Do you need a spreadsheet? 30/42 =0.71 (current), 30/44 = 0.68 (easier), 32/44 = 0.72 (harder)

Larkim, many thanks....that's the sort of info an old geezer loves, ta mate.

Now then, how noticeable is 0.01 difference? (Tin hat on)

Sent you the spreadsheet, it has 28/30/32 chainring with either XT 11-40, 11-42, SRAM 10-42, Hope 11-44 cassette ratios..

Also double and triple setups on the other tabs

@pipiom - "a bit" harder? 😀

I can see the value in the spreadsheets or the websites in seeing what the spread of a particular setup is and comparing those, but if you're talking extremes and you are comformtable with your current 30/42 then I suppose only you know if you feel its worth spending money on something which makes life slightly easier or slightly harder (obviously the trade off for the slightly harder option is a higher top end speed in 32/10 vs 30/10. Again, how noticeable it all is surely you can only really tell in practice.

Talking of how much difference is there..
Is the expense for a 10t on a sram cassette worth it over an 11t on a shimano cassette?

Oh yes, if your normal riding involves any: flat moorland, fire tracks, road
