Shimano SP41 and a decent inner. Parkers used to do it in 10m rolls but have closed - IIRC UK Bike store were an option - the forum search might throw up the threads where it was discussed. BTW SP41 is available in Technicolor so there's another decision for you 😉

There was somewhere else doing the 10m rolls of sp41, I'll have a look and put the link up here.

Inners make a big difference too. I always use stainless inners. There are a lot of plated inners around that look good new, but when the plating wears off with use/friction, corrosion sets in and they start to stick. Not a big difference in price, but a big difference in performance 8)

Any inner and outer with middleburn cable oilers. Occasional blast of GT85 keeps my cables sweet for yonks.

It has a bigger internal bore so less vulnerable to contamination etc.

1.1mm cables are better than 1.2mm for same reason.

Sounds good to me cynic-al,makes sense to have a bigger bore, thanks for the info,I have 1.1 inners so I'm ok on that score.

I picked up 4 of these the other week and the lad serving double checked the price as he didn't believe they were that cheap.

Bargain at the moment.

Granny Ring - only got it a week ago, and haven't fitted it yet. It looks identical to SP41 to me - described as stainless, sheathed, etc.
