My partner has a new Giant bike with a Praxis double and 105 11 speed setup. I cannot get it align correctly on both chainrings, it’s either perfectly setup At the rear on either ring but not both. I have been riding for over 50 years and have never had this problem. I hoping someone on here has!! AND could give me a clue. I have already checked the gear hanger for alignment ?

I have heard of this kind of issue when the cables somehow interfere with each other. Like they are twisted in the down tube or one outer is not seated properly and the outers move each other somehow

+1 for Molgrips suggestion, had to fix umpteen Trek road bikes with the same issues last year, the one gear inner being wrapped around the other, and the front shifter then applying or releasing tension on the rear's cable.

My Trek has internally routed cables, but the outers aren't continuous and the inners are naked inside the bike. I don't know if this is normal as it's the only internally routed bike I have. In any case it would be really easy to get the inners twisted inside the downtube.

Cheers lads, does sound a bit weird, but ill have a fiddle with the cables, i agree that there cannot be many reasons why this would happen.
