'beyond leave no trace'

Does this mean they carry pee and poop out?

I like the idea of this though.

This is fantastic....

I love what EF, Rapha and Lachlan are doing. It shows us mere mortals that even at pro levels they just love riding bikes. I have no doubt after watching that, that Lachlan rode it because he wanted to. Not because his sponsor told him to, or because there was prize money involved. He just did it for the love of riding his bike, and challenging himself.

Carry a trowel and bury "waste". In practice I find on multi-day rides it might be up to 48hrs between motions.

I thought it was all done on roads. So extra respect all round.

Shoddy organisers by the looks of it.Surely they can arrange quarters for the riders.

It's self-supported.

It’s self-supported.

It is, but the whole idea of stages and rest areas is to combat sleep deprivation that these type of events get plagued by. The organizers clearly were not expecting anyone to be that fast, and so hadn't booked the rest area until the day after Lachlan arrived.

Not because his sponsor told him to,

TBF, EF have sent a lot of their pros on "other" events. Not sure if they are allocated out or if Lachlan had a choice.

The organizers clearly were not expecting anyone to be that fast, and so hadn’t booked the rest area until the day after Lachlan arrived.

Fair dues, I don't think either of them are "pro" organisers.
