I have managed to shear one of the suspension bolts on my old school Gary Fisher Roscoe, despite using a torque wrench when tightening. Does anyone have one or know where they might be available from??

Anything here match yours? There's a Roscoe rocker on page 2...

Hi Crosland I tried to send you a message I’m new to this forum, I have the same problem is your bolt 18mm long and hollow? If yes I think this is the bolt, I’ve just ordered mine so I’ll let you know when arrived.

I've got the remnants of a roscoe in my garage, I'll have a look and see if I still have the bolts

I have heard nothing from triton cycles and would like the bolt to get my bike back on the trail.
Idavies, yes it is 18mm long and hollow.
The head is also ~18mm across and very slim in profile, if it helps it says "torque 125 - 200 in/lbs" on it
Any help would be appreciated

Neil.

How much more help do you need than the part number, availability, price and where to get one from?

No I have not received anything, triton are useless I’ve tried ringing also, I’ve put a link up for you I think this is the correct bolt, I went to my trek dealer today and they were unable to help as the bike is to old, but check that link out.

Huh? I posted the Trek part number in this thread 3 weeks ago. Give it to a Trek dealer, ask them to order it. Trek have them in stock.

OK, the only 2x bolts I have left are 18mm long, 10mm thread diameter, with the flange that says the torque specs. Sounds like the ones you're after?

If I remember, I tightened to their specified torque and snapped one years ago too. Ignore their specs, just tighten it until it feels right.

I've also got a mech hanger.

ps I have no idea how you're still riding these things, I snapped mine 5 times in 4 years before Trek finally gave me a Remedy as a warranty replacement!

Bit late to the rosco party..

I might be about to break/retire a roscoe so if you need any other parts let me know.
I found a shock linkage Eyelet had disintegrated So I’ve a fairly new linkage with bearings and bolts.

I HATE working on the bike. Everything seems to be made of cheese! As mentioned don’t go with the printed torque settings Go with what feels right!

they are/were nice riding bikes, let me know if I can help out!
