Has anyone had any issues with the hub mounted speed sensor on their Garmin? The elastic/rubber band that stretches around the hub to the hook fastener seems very fragile to me, especially now it has been stretched a few times. Ideally I'd like to continue to swap it between different bikes (which I have been doing) but I am now contemplating buying another one as it does not look or feel robust enough to regularly change between bikes.
Now the cynic in me thinks this potentially fragile design keeps the customer coming back to Garmin for replacement parts once you've bought into their product, however you are all welcome to tell me that it's an absolutely solid structure and none of you have had any problems for years and that I should not worry.
Cheers!
nope, but it does get a bit bandy if you swap it around. best buy one for each bike and get a new garmin that automagically senses the sensors.
Not had any problems, but I now have one for each wheel. Mainly because I can't be doing with having to reset the wheel diameter each time it goes onto a different wheel.
