Anyone know if i can just show my current position and have a track displayed without doing any routing or turn by turn or 3 hours of "calculating" for a complex track beforehand?
i've got an edge touring (and i would not recommend it or any garmin software to anyone, for what it's worth)

Load the course as normal, and turn off the routing option in settings on the device itself. Will just give you a purple line and your location, will still give you distance to waypoints/end etc but not the actual routing instructions which are a pain in the backside.
