The strap on my heart rate monitor is falling apart.
Can anybody tell me where I can get a replacement strap?
Only looking for the strap .. the actual monitor that clips onto it is fine.
The only replacements I seem to be able to find are for the strap and monitor at £35+ ... kinda expensive because I only need the strap.

Thanks in advance.

Give Garmin in Southampton a ring, they're usually pretty good

I've had 3 garmin ones fail and replaced under warranty before. I switched to Polar. Polar ones are far better, no false spikes/dropouts and they last for ages.

Thanks fellas.
I am almost decided on getting older style heart rate monitor now.
As far as I can find out - its only the strap which differs?
Looks more robust than the soft strap too.

Would the strap be covered under warranty?
its about 18mths old?

Is the polar strap rubber or cloth?
Have you a link to the one you are using ... much thanks.

I've got one spare if you want? I'll sell it you for £15 delivered ? It's never been used. I only bought it as I thought I'd lost mine.

It's the same one as in the photo above btw.

My Garmin was purchased from Decathlon, who have a 2 year warranty.

Google for 'polar wearlink strap'.

The strap is cloth but a slightly different design than Garmin. It has rubber bonded to the inside strap across the front. This protects the electrodes, contacts and monitor from sweat damage.

Give garmin a call ive had 2 replaced for free over the last couple of years, i know that doesnt say much for the longevity of the strap but their customer servive has been excellent - basically phoned them up, they asked for my product code and address and i got the new strap in the mail a couple of days later
