Possibly only the newer models, certainly my 945, my mates fenix6 and my wife's Venu.
My last 2 activities map overlay is well off. The temp fix seems a PIA. Leave device until CPE says current, and then leave to soak in?! You could be sitting around for 5-10 mins before starting your activity!
Hopefully a fix soon.

Was a total PUTA for the first 15 mins of my ride yesterday with Edge constantly saying I was off course and recalculating. I’m glad it’s a wider error as thought the device might be on its way out!

Maybe a result of a bad fix for the Y2k 'bug'. See here.

Yeah using a course would be terrible! Fortunately I've not had to and only noticed the error when my mate told me and I looked at my recorded map.
Not sure how it could relate to the lazy y2k fix, but it is coincidental that it started Jan 01/21.

Thanks for this post, I did wonder why my new years day ride started from a field about 400m away instead of at my front door!! It took about 500m riding before the track was actually following where I was.

So I went for my daily 5-6 mile walk today, normally 47-52 floors up and down on my Venu but today 1,139 up and 69 down.

I checked my Edge 530, and that seemed to be working fine. My Vivoactive4 on the other hand, the gps was all over the place. Seems to have sorted its self out today though.

It was a glitch in a pre-cache file to where satellites will be positioned. Was corrected on Sunday so if you have synced since then, it should be fixed.
