Morning people,

I'm off to Wales tomorrow, riding where the GPS signal tends to be very poor (last time I was there a few of us lost signal for quite some time).

I have a Garmin 500.

What I'd like to know is if I put the Speed/Cadence sensor on it, will it still record distance if we lose GPS signal?

Cheers

Yes it will record and display the speed and distance from your speed/cadence sensor preferentially with or without a GPS signal....but remember to calibrate it correctly for your wheel/tyre size.

If you auto calibrate it you'll need to have a good gps signal at the start of the ride.
