If I've understood this correctly, this is a feature that allows you to slave one Garmin device screen to another.

Anyone with any experience of it know if it's any use, or is it a gimmick?

I can see it being useful for triathlons, not sure there would really be any point for just riding, unless they make a "dumb" head unit just to relay the information from your watch, which I would like them to do.

Sadly, they don’t seem to do that (for the time being at least)

I don't use it but there is something similar on many training programs. I know on zwift you can set your phone up as a large bike computer. It has advantages as it is easier to see. Especially if you are training and you have lots of info up. If I had that much up out riding I'd never be able to take it in and probably end up crashing!

Do Wahoo still make the head unit that talks to your phone and doesn't include its own GPS?
