Any one used a Ram Mount to attach an Etrex to the stem?
Any good?

Not specifically used the Ram etrex mount, but have used Ram mounts for GPS V and PDA's. Ram mounts are the best I have found. Had them mounted on landrovers, motorbikes, quad bikes, MTB's, all on and off road. Would certainly recommend them.
is it the new etrex. i have one of these and the garmin bike mount works just fine.
It's a Garmin Etrex Vista HCX. Not one of the new numbered series.
The ram mount seems to be the only stem mount.
I have the bar mounts, but I've just moved to Mary bars, and they don't really work with the mount very well.

Yes, used a ram mount, certainly holds it, but a bit rattlely. Bit of old inner tube solved that though
Did you stem mount it?
I bar mounted it, but angled it so it was over the stem
