Trying to load the wee disc I got with it, no go, having none of it. Even when I go on to the Memory Map site it still won't download from software support. We're on Vista & it doesn't mention Vista on the MM site as far as software downloads go.
Can anybody give a bit of an insight to a not very computer wise person?
Which version of MM?
I've got the same problem. It might be because (I recently learned) early Garmin drivers do not connect to 64bit PCs.
try GPS Babel - not ideal but it works
i've got a new garmin and an old version of MM but GPS Babel lets me work with both

It's not so much to do with the MM I've got installed, more to do with the fact the USB Interface Driver just won't install, I think. Or am i missing something?
