I had this issue on my Edge 830 on my last few rides. I sometimes plan a ride to a destination, then let the Garmin plan me a route back home. But when I ask it to calculate a route, I get the route calculation error message.
Before I factory reset it later, any tips? I thought maybe the maps had got corrupted, so just reinstalled them with the Express app on my laptop. All reinstalled with no issues, but still getting the error.
Is the Edge connected to your phone ?

I have had problems bluetoothing routes to my Edge from my phone - it appears to need the Garmin server to do this.Â
Yes to both, it's connected to my phone and the phone has mobile data. Used to work fine, I'd also calculate a route to somewhere before I left when the phone was on my WiFi.

I've reset it now, still doesn't work so raised a call with Garmin.
Turns out it's a known bug with Europe maps and routing according to Garmin. Turn off Popularity Routing until they get a fix out.
