So I managed to snap the Garmin mount on my bike this morning, fubared, and reached for the spare I had in my toolbox.
Looks the same, feels the same, fits the same, but my Edge 705 doesn't "click" into it. I can't honestly remember where I got the spare from but am wondering if there is a subtly different mount for another model that doesn't quite work?
Anyone encountered this? Anyone got a 705 mount that doesn't work on their 205, for example, to swap??
I think you'll find there are at least two types, the older types are made of more brittle plastic and the clicky bit tends to snap.
I evidently have "The Wrong Type" then. Buggeh. Thanks.
