Right, our old Garmin was very much plug in, copy route to new files, ride. This new one does wireless transfer I presume, plus maybe upload stuff to Strava automatically. What do I need to know before I get started. Mostly it will be used by my partner and upload to their Strava but occasionally I would like to use it and upload to mine, is this relatively easy?

You can install Komoot on it to transfer routes you've got in your library. I also use www.cycle.travel to make routes on the fly. Auto syncing with Strava is easy to setup.

It's the syncing to two accounts depending on who is riding I am curious about

My son uses mine sometimes.  You'll need to swap over your Strava on Garmin connect, you need to be mindful of this below.....
After your first upload, Garmin will also sync your past 90 days of activity to Strava.

We get round it buy clearing all previous activities from the unit.

Thanks richpips that's helpful. I think I will just set Mrs Anagallis up on it and let her use it most.

Presumably you can use a route saved on Strava easily enough? What about ridewithgps?

You can use ridewithgps. I don't know about Strava routes though.
