I have a semi-elderly Edge 820 which has been pretty good, but in the cold weather the battery now only seems to last a couple of hours.
Has anyone tried replacing the internal battery on a Garmin? Having done this on a few other gadgets, I suspect it'll be fine, but anything involving adhesive is a real pain.
I once did it on an Edge 705. Simple to do and completely restored the original battery life.
Where do you source (good) replacement batteries from? And has anyone done this with a Garmin watch?

I got a Garmin replacement battery from subtel before. Seemed ok. Not sure you can trust suppliers on Amazon any more
Did it after watching a YouTube video. Puchased a battery and rear shell complete from Ebay. Was quite easy to do and works well.
Timely question, I'm sure my 530 battery life is subpar now, I seem to need to charge it after every couple of rides now despite using battery saver.
Also here , seems similar to link up there...available for various products, note will have postage costs, but good job on my 820 for the £

Thanks. Does anyone happen to know what size the original battery is? I read somewhere that they're 700mAh, but many of the replacements seem to be 600.
