Looking to upgrade my 800 and trying to decide if the Edge is worth the extra over the Explore.
However the Garmin website isn't overly clear as to the main differences. Looks like the main differences are that the Explore doesn't have wifi, live segments and some of the performance analysis?
Am I missing anything else major?
Depends if you want it for navigating or training, if I was looking for something for navigating I'd be looking at the Edge Explore 1000 due to the larger screen.
I have an Edge 820 (and I've had an 800 and 810) but I'm more interested in the training/performance side of things, Strava Segments etc.
Thanks for the response. The 1000 is far to big for my liking hence looking at the 820. I actually think the 800 is the right size but don't want any bigger.
I might at some point use a HR monitor and speed/cadence but not sure about the other stuff. Wifi would be nice though.
