Anybody know where I can buy a replacement usb grommet for the back of my Edge 500? Just went to upload my data and the wee cover was gone and the port was full of mud after yesterdays mudfest at rock and road 😯
Luckily it still worked after a wee brush out with an old toothbrush.

Best I've found after googling is a complete replacement back cover on Ebay from the States 😕

I thought it'd be quite a common replacement part, but can't find one anywhere.

I had the same problem with the cover off my Dakota and Garmin said they couldn't supply a replacement. I found an ex-demo case on eBay.

I've also emailed Garmin but thought somebody here may have had the same problem.

Cheers scotroutes, will probably end up doing the same. Oh and I think you made the right choice about yesterday btw 😉

Can you bodge one with some silicone sealer and some gaffer tape

Gaffer tape will be the immediate fix, and may end up being the permanent one if a proper one can't be found.

What about this stuff? Never used it myself, but it looks like a useful product

Mines been uncovered on my 705 for 4 years now. I have covered it with electrical tape once or twice when I've known it'll be proper muddy, but generally left it open, no ill effects.
