Blue bundle is cadence and HRM, red bundle is cadence and premium HRM...so what makes the red HRM premium?

two different styles of HRM belt.

basic placky one that works
and a much comfier premium one that occasionally has you at 245bpm

Ah yes, I've read about some of these anomalies with readings. I'm assuming the HRM device is the same and affects both versions?

And is the belt £20 comfier (subjective I know)?

Never had anomalies on the premium belt - they have changed it recently.

Guessed it was probably only a few one off's anyway.

The premium sounds like the one to go for, I'd probably only want to 'upgrade' anyway if I knew there was a comfier option.

And it comes in a nicer colour...

I have the "premium" HRM, works fine, unless its really really windy when it doesn't....

HR rockets up to 220+ bpm then. Flapping of the jersey or something must confuse it.

I have the "basic" one and I haven't had any dramas with it.

I wear a compression top over the premium and I've never had any spiking issues. Much comfier than the plastic one in my opinion.

I have the basic and have spiking issues with it. I find HR straps only give good readings when you've worked up a good amount of sweat anyway, so always get some dodgy readings in the first hour whatever make of heart rate monitor, or grade of strap. The basic is certainly not uncomfortable and I have no desire to upgrade it.
