I've not paid much attention to the body-battery in Garmin Connect TBH - but today it looks like I need to get some jump leads!

Is it something anyone relies on / trusts?

I look at it now and again, it's 100% in the morning, then runs down slowly all day. Meh.

What is this

In Garmin Connect - near sleep: Body Battery. I dont know if its dependant on devices etc.

Normally for me its gone 99ish- 40ish. If I'm overdoing stuff - it goes lower.

Today its taken a dive. Dunno why.

If it uses HRV as part of the metric, which it seems to, I'd be careful you're not coming down with something. I use an app to measure HRV and the first sign of what may or may not be COVID-19 was a pronounced drop, the same happens if I'm getting a cold or whatever. The idea is it measures your general state of recovery and health taking into account how well recovered you are, how stressed etc. It's like a kind of general check on the state of you.

I have no experience of the Garmin measurement though, I use a smartphone app called ithlete with a finger sensor. Maybe worth being cautious if you feel at all off.

Was about to say, it uses your stress levels to calculate body battery, which in turn uses HR variability.

It's possible if you've had an easy day and your stress levels in the app are high, you're coming down with something. or not.

It's a load of bollocks, for simpletons, pseudo science at its worst ignore it.

Just look at the 'stress'values instead.
