My Garmin 810 will not connect to the laptop or phone.
If I connect the Garmin 810 with the lead to the USB port the Garmin turns on & charges but I can't find it on the laptop. I've tried two different leads.
Garmin App on phone - the Garmin can see the phone via BlueTooth but the phone (Pixal 4a) can't see the Garmin.
Any ideas?
In Bluetooth settings, have you told the phone to forget the device and tried to re-establish it?
You could also try deleting the Connect app and re-installing
Not sure about the laptop issue, other than my work laptop refuses to acknowledge my Garmin, but my own laptop is fine.
Are the leads you are using data leads, rather than just charging leads? Presume you’ve used them before?
Have the USB contacts in the Garmin 810 corroded? I have the same problem with my 800 when the contacts start to corrode and connecting to a PC.
Try cleaning the contacts and see if this improves things.
My 820 long ago gave up with bluetooth, no matter what I did.
Computer-wise, you need to use a Garmin lead and if you've not done it for a while, does take ages to connect.
Should be able to see it in File Exployer (assuming PC & Windows) - if you can't, it's not connecting.
Hi, Thanks for the replies. I purchased a new Garmin DATA lead, tried my work laptop, but still no joy. Connecting only charges the device.
