You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I've reached the limit of my resources so maybe STW can help.
When the clocks changed in Autumn my Garmin never corrected the time. Annoying but I lived with it. This weekend I decided to do something about it. I've tried a few things. I did a factory reset and that made it worse. It is now 6 hours out. So I just tried to use the webupdater to reinstall the software and that hasn't helped either - still 6 hours out.
It has been outside, has full satellite reception as it knows where I am. The minutes are correct, just no the hours.
Any ideas on how to fix it?
Does it have a timezone setting?
Sounds like a problem with the time zone map on the Edge. It should be a file named gmaptz.img in the Garmin folder. Maybe that has got corrupted.
Not sure if it is possible to download a new copy of the file anywhere. If you delete that file, then run the updater software, it might replace it with a new version.
might...
I was hoping the software reinstall would do that. Bit worried about just deleting it.
will...
thanks, seems to be working.
