You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
My Garmin 245 has stopped recording routes.
To be fair I haven’t used it much recently, it’s got the distance, time, and pace right,
but the tracking is completely wrong, random and only a few hundred metres, plus no elevation data
What’s going on with it?
Do I just need to leave it switched on outside for a bit?
Sounds odd - I've had nothing like that with mine. I take it you're getting the green GPS lock before setting off?
I had this on my 55 a couple of times. Hold down the light button i think for 15 seconds, should do a reset. Worked for me.
Haven't got time to do the research but on my 45 (similar watch) because I didn't have it turned on for a few weeks it completely lost all of its satellite positions, and no amount of syncing would fix it
I found (a lot of info) some info online about deleting a file off the watch on the computer which then forces it to download a brand new FULL set of gps coordinates
No idea if it's that but could be worth trying anyway
however, weird that it's tracking the data - not a gps problem is it.......
