You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I've got some family in Germany and I'm thinking of going to visit them in early September. I'll be taking my bike and will have time to ride it.
From initial research I'm only about an hour from the Harz Mountains and Solling-Vogler Nature Park. Both areas seem to have way-marked mtb trails but I'm struggling to establish whether they are more fireroad based or whether they have plenty of singletrack and technical features.
Has anyone had any experience of riding in either of these regions.
I could probably blag some extra time and work my way to Bavaria for a couple of days. Any thoughts on this area?
Thanks for any help.
Vids I've seen of Harz were quite "singletracky", but it's always difficult to tell how long or extensive. Germany has shed loads of fire road though, so it's difficult to say.
If you read German OK then the forum @ mtb-news.de might help.
My experience of Germany is Miles of Fire Road but if you find a local bike shop and ask them they usually know some good trails!!
