Yeah, I've got an 11 speed 10-50 running on a SRAM xD driver.

I think it's great. Easily shifts as well as the 10-42 SRAM that came off.

I'm using the Garbaruk cage and jockey wheels as well. Really impressed with it and would happily buy again.

Got it from gonebikingmad.co.uk

I've only one ride on a 10-50 12 speed but impressed enough so far. It's maybe a little noisier as it seems somehow to resonate a little more, but no appreciable difference in shifting.

Cheaper and lighter than SRAM. I got mine from gonebikingmad also.

Ran a 10-50 +cage on my Ransom last year, it's now on my kids Spark.
Very impressed and shifts as good as shimano 11 speed IMO buy waaay lighter.

Running a Garabuk 10-48 12 speed, done a few XC rides/races on it, works fine. It seems to be easy to clean.

Anyone know if the ally big sprocket is available as a spare part? I've been using SRAM X01 11s cassettes and then fitting One Up or Wolftooth replacement 42T sprockets as that's the bit that wears out. Managed 5 years of pretty intensive use out of one cassette this way.

One Up and Wolftooth have stopped doing the aftermarket sprockets, so if Garbaruk can provide spares, then I'll consider swapping to their cassettes, as I'm not into throwing away entire clusters just because one cog is worn.

The only cassette I know of where you can get the alu section on its own is the Hope. The Garbaruk is just like the SRAM and Shimano in that they don't sell the alu cog as a spare. However, it is only one, it's huge and if your chainring is the right size, it can be saved for those "on your chipstrap" moments. Nicer for the chain line as well if most of your time is spent in the middle of the cassette.

10-48 is great as a medium cage mech can be used, I think a 10-50 is a bit much for a medium and you'd need a long cage which is substantially longer and more vulnerable.

I run the 12 speed cassette as the one that came with my Sentry was as heavy as the moon đŸ™‚ it’s worked perfectly over the last six months and in some pretty awful conditions. As above, get it from gonebikingmad...

Be interesting to know how they last compared to SRAM cassettes. Managed over 3000 miles out of an XG1195 (5 chains all swapped out when they reached 0.75% stretch) and even then it's really only the alloy 42T and a couple of cogs in the middle that won't take another new chain... If I could replace the 42T (sadly seems you can't any more!) then I'd consider running another chain or two on it. As for 12spd, well still on the same XG1295 I've had for the last 4 1/2 years that has seen action across several bikes, albeit that I have more than one bike. Its seen 4 chains now and is still going strong... In the same time, everyone I know who was running Shimano 11spd ended up buying a new cassette every time their chain needed changing!

I do like the idea of the different ratios with the Garbaruk though, and the fact they make useful 11spd ranges.

Bump.... anyone using a Garbaruk? How is longevity vs Sram? Torn between the 10-50 Garbaruk or X01 for a new build.... Garbaruk saves a bit of cash and a little weight, and I think the silver cogs will look better, but wondering where the downside is.

I've 2 Garbarkuk's on my MTB wheel sets - both have been excellent. I can compare to SRAM as I've never run their cassettes but they are lighter weight for less cash than XX .

The delivery times are slow at the moment though well over a month, unless R2bike or similar have them on stock? Travers import them to the UK, but again its order only so you'll have to wait, but at least you won't have duty to pay.

Shifting wise it's a little more cluncky than Shimano - but you soon won't notice when riding. Mines paired with axs so it's pretty much smooth every shift anyway.

Ive currently waiting on an Ingrid cassette so I'll be able to compare against that when it turns up (in September).

Id cirtainly avoid rotor cassettes after a recent experience on my road/gravel bike.

Yeah, for a gravel bike, with AXS, cassette is the last part I need for the build, both in stock(I'm not in UK) so just need to pick between a black X01 10-50 or silver/black Garbarul for 50 quid less. First World problem, I know.

If you can hang on (insert random number) weeks, I've got a Garburuk on order and also have an X01 eagle cassette on my main bike.

The eagle one is a thing of engineering beauty imo although Garbaruk looks equally nice.
I've had mine on order for about 8 weeks and they keep fobbing me off about delivery.

Luckily I don't really need it as the Sunrace 11 - 50 currently on that bike is working very well, just weighs about 14.7 moons.

Went ahead and ordered the Garbaruk, figured I'd grab it while it's in stock (Bike24.com)

Have all my parts bar a set of wheel adaptors now. And a frame, due in October....

Been using their 11 speed 10-48 on a SRAM XD set up with the Garbaruk mech arm and jockey wheels. Paired with their 42t oval chain ring on sram Force cranks. Rear Mech I bought the Force rear mech in short cage flavor (picked up cheap as nobody really uses them) and threw away the cage. I think this is from the mtb range and is one of the few mtb mechs with the same pull ratio as the Force road shifters.

Anyway, Ive knocked in c. 5000 km of gravel riding in all weathers incl a lot of muddy singletrack. Done one chain change and changed the bearings in the pulleys. Been ultra reliable and would rate the shifting on a par with SRAM.

Bought from Garbaruk direct and they were very helpful.

Hope this helps

With the scarcity of Sram cassettes at the moment, I managed to get hold of a 10-52t Garbaruk. Very impressed, shifting feels a lot smoother than the GX cassettes I've been running until now. Obviously it's a bit more expensive, but worth it I'd say.

Thanks all... glad to get positive feedback having actually bought the thing. '5000k of muddy riding' was what I wanted to hear.

What chain are you using with this cassette? I was almost tempted with the 10-48 as although I use the 50, I genuinely can't see me ever wanting the 52...intend to go until my legs just can't turn the pedals and a 52 is likely to allow me to go another foot or so but the jump is too big.
Anyway I'm ranting now...
I'm tempted with one of these but what chain works with it? KMC ok with it? I'm dismissing Shimano as they are intended for HG+ and as this isn't it is likely to not be such a smooth shift...

I've run garbaruk 11spd 10-46 and 10-50 (+cage) with XT chains, FSA Team issue and K-force light chains. No issues with shifting on any of them and the FSA might acutually be better than the XT chain but I think the k-force light stretches out quicker than the XT..perhaps as a result of less material?
All on their 3rd season now and onto their 3rd chain swap between .5 and .75 wear

The only cassette I know of where you can get the alu section on its own is the Hope.

The newer E13s offer that too. Seem pretty good so far but I can't speak for longevity
